Completion of ‘The Quest’ marks the end of a two year project for Michael Brown and his crew, but is the latest in a number of past documentary projects he’s directed.
‘Sleeping Giant’ marked the 50th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and included interviews with both American and Japanese survivors of the Day of Infamy.
The award-winning ‘Dust to Dust’ was screened coast to coast in a number of film festivals following its completion in 2002. The film documented the havoc wreaked on a small northwestern Montana community from the effects of decades of mining a naturally-occurring ore, which, unknown to workers, was laced with deadly asbestos.
In 2006, Michael Brown served as Executive Producer of the Oscar®-nominated documentary ‘Deliver Us From Evil’. The film, which centered on the priest abuse scandal, was directed by Amy Berg of California.
Michael Brown has been involved in the film and video industry for forty years. Prior to forming Michael Brown Productions in 1985, he worked in major market television news. He served as anchor/reporter and talk show host at the ABC affiliate in Dallas, the nationʼs 8th largest market at the time.
